PREDICTS FOR 2008
Instead
of doing a monthly reading, I am doing one for the entire year which
will be left up on the website. The
question: In 2008, what are
the best opportunities and the best resources for overcoming challenges?
KEY:
SELF-RELIANCE Taking responsibility for your life; realizing your
life purpose and making decisions which will support those goals.
It is a time to make the best possible moral choices you can
make, particularly in matters of love and communication, but to also be
very true to yourself and your boundaries.
This entire year brings up the issues of romantic love and what
it means to you and what place it has in your life. Also, words have
power; use them wisely.
(Note:
although some of the information may seem repetitive, note that this
year is a bit erratic and unstable in its energy, so that most every
area of life goes up and down and up and down, a bit like a roller
coaster. This could and
should be a very good year for most people; just be alert and plan ahead
so you latch onto the cycle at the right time and place.)
JANUARY:
Wintry
January brings days of staying home, turning inward and examining
oneself and one’s life, especially where love is concerned.
January’s opportunities include making changes in the
intellectual/communicative environment of one’s home, and holding
soirees on political or cultural topics.
There is a bit more opportunity to sell one’s home than at
other times in this slow market.
There
is incredible creative energy available, and there should be some
wonderful performances, parties, and gatherings.
There
will be new inventions, especially in electronics, and new innovations
in the entertainment industry.
There
are opportunities for new friendships or love affairs.
Health
can be renewed and good habits established, though the temptations to
overindulge will be great.
Good
jobs become available in the food industry and in the financial industry
though at the apprentice level.
Health
insurance companies continue to get big and fat, but also are providing
better preventive service. Long
standing sexual issues may be healed.
Trips
for business or spiritual knowledge will have long-lasting value.
Of course, obviously, we have
the opportunity in January to begin choosing the next President (if
we’re allowed to have elections that is) and to begin negotiations
regarding the
Middle East
wars. Watch for new patterns
in leadership emerging in this country and in others. (Although this is
in the news as I write, the cards are literally alluding to these
occurrences.)
January
has challenges as well. Many
relationships and partnerships are falling apart, but the resource for
resolution lies within: learn to end codependency in yourself, and your
relationship will either revive or a new one will take its place.
Turning inward by finding solitude at home or in the
mountains/desert will assist you.
Financial
ruin threatens many, but you will find that all along you had the skills
to support yourself without help from a partner, employer, or
government.
There
will be tragic deaths this month, as there are everywhere every day on
the planet, but at this time death more often brings inheritance in the
form of money, knowledge or tools, enabling a new start for those left
behind.
Real
estate issues come to a terrible head, due to improper lending
practices, but clever solutions begin popping up all over.
People are going to get together and solve this; too many
families are involved. Baby
boomers already know we don’t all get to retire for our new extended
years of life; but to give up all the savings to bail out our
children’s bad loans is just too much.
By lawsuit, new laws, new companies, combining families, new
banking systems; it will be solved.
Big government may come in and bail people out, but the energy of
the times demand that people take the initiative to solve their own
problems, and this will prime the pump of the federal money (even if
federal money is more and more located in a virtual reality.)
January
brings some real delusion in love; terrible love triangles, and
wrenching heartbreak over adultery or toxic relationships.
(Whether you believe adultery is an entitlement or a sin, this
month an adulterer would get caught and ostracized.)
Resources to overcome this challenge are: think of the children;
think of your assets and money; think of what you really value and want
to accomplish in your life; look before you leap; take time to consult
your soul internally and your spiritual advisor externally before you do
anything. If it is really
time to move on and if that is truly the right thing, conventional or
not, just be prepared for the consequences.
Everything in your life will change.
FEBRUARY:
February brings time to get
some things done after the chaos and aftermath of the
Holidays.
Opportunities include getting a good long term grip on your
finances and making a good budget and financial plan that will work;
communicating with siblings and getting familial problems resolved;
setting up communication lines to improve the neighborhood and your
city; using local media to exchange new ideas, and promote changes in
local government; making clear decisions about college and education;
learning how to study effectively and efficiently; learning new
communication skills and changing how you communicate; making a
commitment to writing the truth.
New
possibilities open up in careers due to new inventions and social
structures; moving can expand your horizons and bring great new
opportunities.
Children
can do better in school and have more fun doing it.
(I have just heard about planned cuts in education in
California
. I can only imagine the
cuts will force some intense innovation and creativity.)
This
month friends are more available for fun and support, even physical
support like loans or labor.
Those
in need of a new job or more sales will find help through social
networking.
The
U.S.
has a chance to show its brilliance and versatility in creating new
inventions, dreams, or businesses. Great
strides could be made in environmental issues or education.
February
has some of the same challenges as January, but with some new twists.
The presidential primaries open up more questions than they
answer, and the public wonders if any of the candidates are tough enough
or realistic or experienced enough for this job.
The public benefits by being open-minded to new ideas and willing
to take a chance.
The
United States
is seen as foolish by much of the world; we are seen as having so much
and appreciating it so little. The
public needs to begin taking responsibility for our wealth and position
in the world, and the effect it has on other nations.
Relationships
and partnerships go through many endings and changes, but the person
left behind finds strengths and abilities they never dreamed they had.
Health issues may be
devastating, but the enforced solitude may turn one’s whole life
around to the True Path (which is unique to each individual.)
Loss
of a job may also force a move that turns out to be wonderful.
Pressure
on students (and perhaps on schools in general) is great, and there are
more drugs and alcohol around for some reason, so be protective of your
young people and spend time with them, no matter how hard you have to
work to make ends meet. Love
and hormones are overwhelming for the young; be sure you are there to
give support.
For
those who have lost one income, the lack of solitude and the foregoing
of vacation or time off can be devastating.
For the other partner the loneliness resulting from the other
partner working around the clock is awful.
However, the changes forced by the financial pressure will be
wonderful in the long run. Whole
new vistas will open up.
Again,
watch out for love. Cupid’s
arrow, in reality, is not cute—it looks like a medieval torture
weapon-- and Valentine’s Day belongs to February.
Do not let love, even true love; distract you from your purpose
at this particular time. Watch
words. “Words of love,
soft and tender, don’t win a girls’ heart anymore.”
On the other side, words empowered by cupid’s darts can wound
so badly. Be careful.
Also, there is much unspoken
love and unrequited love. Be
alert so you don’t bulldoze some sensitive soul who gazes at your
shadow as you walk by, nor endanger yourself by obliviousness. This is a
time for stalkers and such. Sexual
rage comes from isolation; one can fend off hostility with friendliness.
Pay it forward; be kind to those around you; you may be saving
the life of some witless woman(man) you don’t even know.
MARCH:
The pressure on relationships
eases up just a little. You
begin to see what has gone wrong or what is going wrong, and there is
opportunity to change some communication patterns for the better.
You also see that waiting and patience solve a lot of things.
As the I Ching says, “Let it go by, without being duped.”
This is a time to make new contracts so that partnerships and
marriages can work in the future to provide support and love and fun.
Sex is an area that needs to be talked about; even if one’s
partner appears not to be listening.
The
financial plans made in February can be tested now in March, and
refinements made.
If
one is spontaneous one may go on a wonderful trip, and if one takes the
love boat, you should hit the jackpot!
There
are great business opportunities for writing, inventing, filmmaking,
computer technology and for education in those areas.
The
government has an opportunity to protect our real estate.
People will be able to save their homes, but some big
corporations get very fat off the government intervention.
Some people, again, do very well in real estate.
I hope this is not due to foreclosures which may have occurred in
Jan-Feb.
There
is a suitor out there for you, but you don’t see him(her).
He(she) is persistent and erratic at the same time.
A
new candidate or underdog for the presidency comes into some money.
There is lots of money changing hands behind the scenes in the
U.S.
; whether this is a good or bad thing is unclear.
Some will be available for investment in new areas and dreams can
become real; but there is a lot of massive delusion operating as well.
Changes in estate law or real estate law may protect the younger
generation.
Lemons
start to turn into lemonade now. Those
subject to verbal abuse from partners learn how to protect themselves
from it. One learns to keep
a persistent suitor(ess) at bay without losing them. One
finally has the strength to make a decision about a triangular love
affair, or to leave an abusive spouse/lover.
One finds the strength to let go of lovers, friends, or children,
who need to grow and move on. There
is much work on grief, death and dying, even extending to communications
with those who have passed over. More
and more people learn how to do this communication with other planes,
the silliness of TV programs like Ghost Whisperer notwithstanding.
Perhaps the country learns the importance of ritual in providing
benchmarks and closure, and learns that, rather than spending more and
more money on lavish potlatches, we need practices that provide meaning
and understanding. Great
strides begin to be made fighting cancer, heart disease and aids.
Many people begin to take responsibility for their own health and
healing.
APRIL:
April is a month of decision
regarding partnerships and marriages—or at least you will feel
pressured to make some decisions. Things
have got to change, and at least now you’re talking about it.
This
is a month you could win the lottery if you’re going to, but don’t
be under the delusion that manna from heaven is owed to you.
Oddly enough, once you see where your business dream has been a
delusion, the opportunity to achieve your actual dream arises, so be
alert! (Aside: more and more
of us are becoming psychic or sensitive or open to the astral and this
can lead to terrible confusion in real time.
What I mean is if one is not trained, and we don’t do this
training in the West, one cannot distinguish potential from actual.)
On the positive side, so many creative innovations in the world
of business manifest, that we begin to earn money differently, and we
become so empowered that we learn collectively to create prosperity
mentally.
Spring
fever arrives with a bang, and there is wonderful sex and romance if you
can be spontaneous. Some
really odd alliances are formed due to sexual attraction—some
May-December alliances certainly, but just some real opposites
attracting.
Good
news for workaholics; things begin to slow down.
Those who have had difficulties with parenting get the help or
the skills they need to solve their issues.
Hobbies
begin to make money, and after decades of being starving artists, the
arts begin to pay, and not just for Big Media. Maybe the scares in the
economy and in real estate produce more appreciation for those of us who
labor to bring beauty and understanding into the lives of others.
More money is available for
higher education, although colleges still continue to be top heavy
salary wise and slow to change to accommodate the needs and realities of
society. Learning becomes
more fun; perhaps someone finally allows all the mountains of learning
research to be implemented. (If the predicted cuts for lower education
come through maybe the “fun” comes from teachers creating their own
curriculum!)
Work
needed on some friendships begins to happen and the friendships can be
saved.
Challenges are immense in
April, but the changes, although devastating, may all be for the best.
Jobs, business, industry, real estate all go into chaos, but yet
marvelous opportunities open up for those who are imaginative,
innovative, flexible, and spontaneous.
These traits, combined with an ability to take the long view and
be discriminating could turn things around for individuals and for the
country. Money becomes more and more virtual--nice work if you can get
it, and you can get it if you “get it.”
The government wants to run
away from the war or put its head in the sand; things really go south.
On the other hand, behind the scenes, an enemy capitulates.
All I can say is, what seems to be happening is not what is
happening and what it means for all of us I can’t say.
Certainly the puppeteers of the beltway make more and more money.
You have been working forever on your craft(s) and all seems to
be for naught. Be patient.
Analyze and look at your situation objectively; a little tweaking
and a small change of direction will turn things around.
For
those of you in love with love and who feel like you’re on a runaway
train, I see no hope except to be very, very, very discreet.
One
good thing about this month is that many things which have been hidden
are now open—so instead of feeling helpless and crazy, one can do
something to take control of one’s life. But do it.
It really is a time to pay attention and get your life on
whatever track it’s supposed to be on.
Take time for health and reflection and solitude, but not too
much—really get going while the going is good.
Chaos creates openings that haven’t been there before and
won’t be there again, and you won’t see them if you’re asleep at
the wheel!
MAY
Boy
oh boy, if spring fever was bad last month, this month some fools are
going to elope! Seriously,
elaborate elopements are going to become a fad, as money gets tight for
many. These won’t be with
a Justice of the Peace in Vegas though; they’ll be creative and
romantic. There will be
changes in other rituals too. I
see
New Orleans
jazz funerals spreading across the nation, and more pageantry and
parades and celebrations, fundraisers, etc.
Back
to relationships there is opportunity to balance independence and
love—this time we can be in love without codependence.
Somebody definitely has a chance for an affair with a younger
person.
After
the shakeup of last month (taxes?), economic opportunities revive.
It is as if the populace begins to be used to instability and
learns to be creative and patient instead of panicking.
Although one job or career fails, another opens and rather
rapidly. Many small
businesses die, but corporations begin to be responsive to the
individual, so that there is a new paradigm—kind of a small business
within a big corporation, sort of like the co-ops of the 60’s but on a
giant scale. Not being an
economist I cannot describe what I am seeing, but there are changes that
will look awful, but that won’t be that bad. Kind
of like Starbuck’s—it eats small local coffee shops like an
anaconda, but then it gives coffee pourers benefits. Stuff like that.
So, it’s like if you lose your job or your business, roll it
over as you would an IRA. Keep
going; don’t dwell on the loss or the past.
Don’t stop; change form. The
best example is “Colonel Sanders.”
He had a successful small little coffee shop overrun by a
freeway. He was elderly, but
didn’t have quite enough to retire nor open another shop of the same
kind. He came up with a
special recipe and franchising structure and the rest we know!
For a young person, say, who is moved back from waiting tables to
hostess and no longer gets tips, you “chat up” the customers and
soon have another job doing something else entirely.
On
another subject, there is opportunity to finally see and face one’s
shadow and old hang ups and just simply “get over it.”
One understands why friendships or love affairs ended, and
realize that time mends all, whether bringing the person back or
creating a new pattern of behavior for the future.
And--someone will return into your life.
One
becomes patient with children who are difficult to communicate with or
whose behaviors are difficult; much progress occurs through patience and
understanding. There are
creative breakthroughs in the fields of psychotherapy and social work.
Techniques are invented to cure long standing sexual abuse and
its aftermath.
The
U.S.
begins to have a plan in
Iraq
and begins to build some infrastructure, not admitting of course that we
haven’t been doing that all along.
I
see that in May I’ve wedded the opportunities with the challenges, so
onto June.
JUNE:
Long
years of work on the self have resulted in a return of innocence which
makes trust possible and thus happiness in intimacy or partnerships.
Your openness is new and unexpected, and you will have to reach
out in order for your significant other or business partner to trust the
new you in you. You finally
learn to love you. Your
attitude toward sexuality changes entirely which allows you to move on,
whether to a new relationship or just to a new phase in life.
You also have the opportunity to change how you deal with your
siblings.
One course of study ends and a
new higher phase of learning opens up.
This is the month of graduation of course; many transitions are
occurring.
My
earlier comments regarding elopement notwithstanding, June is still the
month for young brides.
For
those having challenges, there is a light at the end of the tunnel
career-wise; one can see one’s course and why changes had to be made
Clarity comes to regarding marriages or partnerships that have
ended; the way forward now becomes clear.
The opportunity for a clandestine affair again emerges.
In general there are choices to be made in relationships across
the board, and one’s values must be clarified.
Some have to choose between several possibilities: an older
partner who will provide a good living; a younger person at the
workplace with whom we are infatuated; an intellectual friend who has
been patiently waiting and who now wants more than friendship.
For many in this situation the choice is more complicated: one
must choose between sex and love, between a good father for our children
and a good lover, between our independence and love, between family life
and career, and on and on. Basically
it comes to: you can have
anything you want right now, but what do you really want, and what are
you willing to give up—and not willing to give up-- to get it?
Your spiritual and moral values are being tested as is your
capacity for truth. You must
also decide between self-preservation; self-assertion, and selfishness.
Which is it? This is
such a great chance for a new start and a wonderful new phase of life if
you are willing to do the work.
There
is a chance for a complete spiritual revival or renewal, certainly an
awakening of intuition or clairvoyance, or talent at a much higher level
than one ever expected. A
whole new religion may be born, but really watch out for “false
prophets” or con-artist cults.
We
seem to have one challenger in the presidential race who is way out in
front; but many corporations are waiting to infuse money when they are
sure of backing the “right’ horse.
Challenges
are still with us. Money is
an issue. Many feel their
situation is hopeless, but actually only faith and patience are needed.
The cycles are continually changing; we must just learn to
recognize them.
Someone
moves and loses cherished friends or family, but finds their niche in
the new life.
A
dream job is available, if you can be spontaneous.
Computers
get easier to use spreading joy throughout the offices and homes of the
nation!
More and more young adults go
to work right after high school because of the costs of college.
This promises a new elitism, but internships and apprenticeships
begin to offer more opportunities than college for many people,
especially since high schools do miserably in the vocational area.
Some
experience a brief physical illness involving a bacterial infection or
issue with blood or nerves that may actually produce psychic abilities.
(This is commonly recognized in shamanic cultures.)
Conversely a period of psychic dampening, or blocking of the
ability to visualize or intuit, will open up the ability to “ground”
skills and abilities waiting on the “other side.”
(Many people are clairvoyant but don’t understand what they
see; now they will.) This
illness or trial may produce the ability to reach people on the other
side or help them “pass over.”
The
problems with health care and the economy come to a head because of a
scandal regarding infant mortality or abortion or stem cells or organ
harvesting—something like that—and the dream of universal health
care gets a big, big boost.
There
is a decided challenge to the authority and power of the
U.S.
China
perhaps begins to articulate its demands.
Pakistan
and
Russia
are likely to become more and more vocal.
Civil war in
Iraq
and
Afghanistan
still rage and we still have our sights on
Iran
. Our government is waiting to commit itself on these issues; perhaps in
October?
JULY
There
is great opportunity to heal after loss, either by taking a trip,
retreating into Nature or solitude or just moving on.
This is a good time for going to counseling, therapy, or a grief
support group as well. July
is also good for sexual healing, and anyone who has issues of bitterness
or regrets has an opportunity to really finally let go and forgive.
It also represents a new phase in independence, a new ability to
stand on your own feet and give up neediness.
The
economy is a bit better. There
are new job and career opportunities, but many require a move or
retraining. Business
opportunities abound if you are willing to work and give up expectations
you had about business in general, form, or timing.
This is a great time for the arts and creativity in general.
It is a fertile year on all levels, and there’s likely to be a
rash of births. People will
really enjoy babies this month.
It’s
going to be easier than easy to fall in love this month, and suddenly.
You’ll be sitting in your car at a stoplight, look over, and
there he/she is—everything you ever wanted.
Good month for the food industry, and as good health becomes a
habit for more and more people, healthy food to go becomes much
appreciated.
The
economy takes a bit of an upswing, and there is an opportunity to
save—do it and do it quietly.
There are opportunities to
begin to reform our legal system—but it won’t be easy.
This is a period of time when many of the baby boomer generation
have to pay some unexpected dues. Retiring
and looking forward to golden years of affluence, the bottom drops out
of their lives, not because the economy crashes, but because their souls
reach out to them and pull them into a higher calling.
Their affluence was only a platform to enable them to help
others, and the ideals of the 60’s are going to be realized in
unexpected ways. The shock
is that they are not “done,” but only beginning their lives’ work.
There are a lot of break-ups
in relationships or partnerships, but most of these break ups are
temporary separations. Some
of these are war related and cause grief and great burden on the family
member left to manage on their own.
Some
separations are due to children growing up and leaving, or moving
because of job opportunities. There
is loss, but understanding and acceptance too.
The current group of high school graduates has many planets in
Capricorn, and has been chafing at the bit to be free.
Their Capricorn energy makes them serious and competent.
They were born thinking they know everything, and they all want
to be boss—the whole generation. On
the other hand, for this group, the world is their oyster.
They are so competent; they are Renaissance people.
They will revel in their freedom, but are curiously naïve and
vulnerable to con artists. Many
a young person will fall madly in love foolishly, but the Capricorn
seriousness carries the shadow of reckless abandon and irresponsibility.
This group has to learn sometime; why not this July?
Some wonderful unusual friends
arrive unexpectedly into one’s life.
Some
who didn’t heed earlier warnings about Cupid’s bow may find
themselves in a family way without a partner.
This group of “love” children promise to be especially loved
and blessed in an odd don’t-worry-be happy-god-will provide kind of
way. There will be a lot of
successful adoptions, implanted babies, fertility babies, and babies
born to older mothers. Although
this is a chaotic period in some ways, there will be few abortions as
others step in to assist the hapless “I took my birth control”
mothers—part of the “luck” of this very
determined-to-be-born-no-matter-what souls.
Health
and diet resolutions are tested again.
Those who worked hard on their exercise and diet habits may think
they are “done” now and regress.
If overindulgence is a temptation, it comes from a new cycle of
overwork. It is nearly
impossible to take time for oneself.
The antidote is to take just a little time to examine one’s
work ethic or values, and then to determine where unconscious laziness
may be making us overcompensate. Balance
now saves grief later.
Our President is going to make a momentous decision due to some
crisis. Whether he will take
the Fool’s road of short term gain or a reasoned decision good for the
long term good of humankind, remains to be seen.
Send him much love.
AUGUST
August
is a good time for a face lift or tummy tuck; certainly there is energy
for a total life makeover.
It looks like many
“impossible” marriages or partnerships can be put back together.
Rather than leaving one another, people try to accommodate the
massive changes many individuals are experiencing.
The
real estate market opens up again; perhaps the loan reforms have gone
through, but one would be “foolish” to buy one’s dream home unless
you have extensive reserves. This
is an upturn, but things are still unstable.
Most
helping professions, conventional and unconventional thrive, and we
begin to quit ignoring the mental health issues of this society.
There have been too many meltdowns due to economic disasters
coupled with returning veterans who were traumatized in
Iraq
. The problem becomes big
enough to force some action. Also
insurance covers more mental health and preventive health practices. So,
alternative healers, don’t quit and get your MBA yet!
Collectively though, as a
society we begin to see a way to reform our business structures and
economic practices. We see a
way to prevent the collapse of our economy, and at the same time, stop
the exploitation of other countries.
We begin to think globally in a positive way.
Individually people use their imaginations to find niches where
they can contribute and support themselves in home businesses and in
small businesses again. Entrepreneurship
on smaller scales begins to replace looking for jobs.
We learn to be more adaptable; less security oriented (as we
realize security is an illusion.) New
career opportunities do arise in computers, electronics, the arts and
media, beautification, cutting edge science and even space travel.
Things improve in education and child welfare as the values of
the nation begin to be less materialistic.
Many
vacations in August are spiritual in nature, or to turn inward and heal
a period of deep loss.
The
summer is of course a time for children to have fun, released from the
pressures of school, and for their parents to enjoy them.
Looks like lots of fun in August.
Young people turn more to groups for their social life instead of
a forming one-on- one commitment--partly needing to delay marriage for
financial reasons.
The
power of sex in an esoteric or magical way begins to be comprehended.
There are more extremes in sexual behavior—more sexual activity
and more celibacy. Many
begin to consciously control procreation.
There
are some real opportunities for global unity.
The UN and other such institutions begin to receive more support.
The potential presidential candidates are perceived as either
fools or saints, neither of which is true, but people are looking
forward to change.
The
real estate market is unstable, but that produces great innovation in
remodeling, refurbishing, communal living.
It also begins to create a mini Diaspora with people leaving the
overpriced coasts to move to overlooked parts of
America
and the world. Actually many of the failed experiments of the 60’s in
communes and in “open marriages” revive in a more realistic form.
As
people find themselves in marriages where they literally could not
financially survive a divorce, they learn to appreciate the raw bones of
partnership. To some it may
seem like regression to earlier periods of “arranged marriages” or
marrying for protection against saber-toothed tigers, but actually some
of the delusions about romance are exposed as codependency and we begin
a new era of mutual respect in partnership that leads to a more mature
and conscious love.
Many find they have no time
for a vacation or even for solitude; the antidote is that they learn to
turn inward and meditate or take on other forms of spiritual practice
which recharge the body and soul more efficiently.
There
is a lot of depression this month, but again, much progress is made in
treating and even curing depression, so that for the long run, mental
health improves. Many who
have been in denial of mental health or drug-alcohol problems seek help. There will be some who do run away from life and its
responsibilities. They may
just disappear or join an ashram or work with refugees or leave the
planet, but it is to do higher work.
Again, many of the baby boomers came in with a mission, and
it’s time to fulfill their purpose.
There are big changes in the legal system and a powerful person
is indicted surprisingly.
The
President either completely loses his mind, or his Higher Self steps in
and he steps up to the plate as a leader and a visionary.
Pray.
SEPTEMBER
There
are lots of changes in relationships, but they are stabilizing for the
long term. Improved
communication skills begin to have lasting effects.
When communication again degenerates into bickering; patience
steps in, and things get better.
Those
with anger issues are treated with kindness and second chances, yet firm
boundaries.
Business opportunities abound,
but they are risky and require decisive action.
Business plans must be tweaked and refined; rigid ideas don’t
survive.
There
are lots of opportunities in publishing, especially for the fantasy or
children’s market. The
film industry grows and grows; as do computer graphics and imagery.
Astrology makes a comeback.
The
impossible dream vacation finally happens, and very unexpectedly.
There
is lots of moving, remodeling and redecorating as school begins.
The
food, finance and education industries all do well, and things move
forward. However, there is
still a lot of resistance to change in education and to corporate
reform.
Real estate begins to move; but there is a lot of greed, which
must be modified if the
U. S.
is not to price all of its children out of a living.
This
month is good for music, psychic work, ghost work, mountaineering, or
dungeons and dragons type games
.
There are great opportunities both in work, self-improvement and
health, but unconscious despair must be combated.
Some relationships are troubled as the partners persist in a
false role or double life, even though they were exposed long ago!
The “wronged” partner begins to hold their ground and insist
that the other come clean or get out.
The
legal system is in complete chaos, but idealists and dreamers begin to
come forward with creative solutions.
There
is more progress in the battle against cancer; much more.
It appears that churches begin to relax their emphasis on
celibacy and anti-homosexuality, perhaps due to scandal or increases in
STDs or teen pregnancies.
The President takes some
action to protect his legacy as the election nears.
In
September there is sadness as children go off to school, summer lovers
are separated. The second
wave of baby boomers experience the empty nest syndrome.
Friends move away to achieve creative and spiritual goals, or to
retreat into their own private dreams, and there too is loss.
This forces one again to turn inward, and many doing so will find
they are set on a “mission” to work for the planet not themselves.
This alone time is necessary and if understood, need not be
lonely. For some, the
realization that they are to give up a lucrative medical/legal practice
to help the poor or do research, or give up a secure professorial
position to teach in Darfur, or to claim one’s clairvoyance and gifts
of prophecy to become a pariah in their family or neighborhood is
wrenching; for others it will be a sign of relief—finally my time is
come.
There are more health scares,
but they are productive; they force one to take care of oneself finally.
Epidemic illness and death put pressure on the health insurance
system to reform. Things
begin to change.
Some
clandestine love affairs end for moral reasons, especially to protect
children. The importance of
these sacrifices is profound, but as adultery is an ongoing dilemma, it
is not clear why decisions at this time are so important, or why their
effects are far-reaching, but they are.
OCTOBER:
It
is decision time regarding relationship matters.
There is real opportunity to revolutionize your way of relating
and communicating with partners. There
will be changes in your marriage or intimate relationships, so conceive
now the way you want things to be.
Be clear about what you want for yourself in life generally,
because you need to hold firm to your course while others are in chaos.
Act; don’t react. You,
no one else, are the creator of your life.
This
is a good time to study complex abstract matters, whether at university,
the mac store; with your local astrologer or guru.
This
is another financial decision and planning period and there are
opportunities regarding real estate for those who take the largest,
longest perspective. Where
do you plan to retire? Can
you afford to live there on your “pension”?
If your child is going to college, can you buy a house and let
the roommates pay for it? If
you’re a young person deciding on a major, think of a field you can
practice anywhere, not just in NYC.
Land in
Nebraska
or
Louisiana
is still cheap; but not for long. Instead
of selling your solid tiny 1920’s coastal house for a
Fresno
mansion, why not buy a 4-plex for your old age etc.?
Think ahead.
This is a good time to go to
the next level of your craft whatever it is; it is time to go into the
larger world with your artwork or writing or music.
This
is a good time to do dream work, psychic work, or hypnosis to get to the
bottom of eating disorders or money problems.
Are you eating in order to nourish yourself?
Is it a love substitute? Why
do you need “things” to feel rich?
This is a good time to work
out of your home and from there publish your ideas into the world.
Use that internet, don’t let it use you!
Good
jobs are available in the food and beverage industry, and in the arts,
if you don’t let materialism or fear block your creativity.
Let it all hang out; brag on yourself, and the dream job is
waiting for you. Job
opportunities are available again from large institutions: hospitals,
schools, prisons, the pentagon, the IRS, etc.
Don’t be afraid to ask for a promotion or create your own
position within a firm and ask for it.
This is the time.
This is a “must” time to work on friendships, love affairs,
or parent-child relationships that have gone awry in the past.
Time and distance can make things clearer.
As
the election draws near, there is a strong favorite to win.
He(she) has the brilliant intellect and conviction to lead, but
is the candidate too strong willed, too rigid?
And, will dubya give way?
The
best energy this month is spiritual.
Watch for grace from above. It
is there, lots of it; but you have to lift your eyes up from material
matters to see it. There
will be sacred sightings. Some
true visions will be seen and not believed; others will be hoaxes set up
to make money. Be discerning
in all things.
This
is a time when secret admirers and lovers are trying to get the nerve to
declare him or herself. Workaholics
may not see the signals. Stop
and smell the roses; the rose may be for you.
This
is a challenging time financially for investments or business or taxes.
The government puts more and more pressure on the middle class
for money (watch those speed traps!)
If the stock market plunges, don’t panic and liquidate.
Diversify now. Get
some gold and bury it. Invest
in guaranteed bonds (the government’s gonna get the tax money from ya
to pay ya) and the most stable foreign countries you can find.
The skills that will help you are the ability to adapt and change
with the time and the knowledge that security lies within.
Children, friends, and lovers may leave.
Your partner is going through changes and might want to move away
where you can’t follow, probably for work related reasons.
As the I Ching says, “Don’t tether your horse.
If it is yours, it will return of its own accord.”
Use the time to do your own work.
Especially
for those who are psychic, intuitive, holistic healers, or astrologers,
this is the time to line one’s self up for the work to come.
It is painful to carry a torch for someone who you think is
beyond your reach, unavailable, or not interested.
Your would-be lover just may be pining also, but from such a long
history of being hurt that he/she buries him/herself in work to avoid
feeling. If you don’t
declare yourself; you’ll never know.
School
is a challenge for the young, as more and more abstractions are pushed
too hard too soon. (Tell me
why are the mentally challenged forced to take algebra?
What is the advantage of reading at age four? )
Children can be helped by giving them tangible tasks to learn,
extra tutorial, and training the intuition so they can “read” their
teachers directly.
NOVEMBER
It
does look like the election takes place, but there are some
irregularities so the country is left in limbo while some things are
corrected election-wise.
The
opportunity this month is to get rid of excess baggage in yourself: your
possessions, weight, unfinished business, worries, fears, other
people’s problems, etc. Admit
you’ve been taking care of others to avoid taking care of yourself; or
conversely that you’ve been expecting others to take care of you.
This period of time marks the end of all co-dependency; arise
from the ashes of guilt, blame, despair, laziness, abuse, whatever it
is, and bless yourself and your life.
You have what it takes in the Now; go for it.
If
you need therapeutic or healing assistance; get it; but whatever the
problem, it cannot be delayed.
Astrological,
electrical, technological, and innovative futuristic businesses start
picking up again and do well.
Love affairs and partying and good times with children arrive
again as the holiday season begins.
The
secret admirers may have declared themselves, but are you ready to
change a friendship into a love affair?
You may be afraid of losing the friendship.
Adulterous
temptations arrive again, especially as jobs involve traveling and
opportunities are there. “Baby,
ya can’t love two.” If
you’re caught, the marriage is over, period, done.
There continues to be more than the normal amount of divorce or
break-ups of partnerships and marriages.
This is because Spirit is calling many people forward to fulfill
their true purpose. In a
codependent relationship, one cannot fulfill their potential or their
purpose. Sometimes these
irrational “loves” that interfere with basically sound marriages are
just to wake you up and shake you up.
The potential lover is usually a projection of who you should and
could be. If you realize
this, and become your whole self, you can fulfill your purpose within
the existing framework of your life and not jettison everything you’ve
built up for so long.
If
you don’t change, life will step in and change you, and it may not be
pleasant, so change willingly and smoothly.
If you are drug or alcohol dependent, get help now before the
police catch you. If you’re in a cult, leave.
If you’re in a toxic relationship, leave.
Life is showing you that you have the resources within you to do
whatever you want. So go; do
it.
Some
marriages may not only end badly, but one partner may run off with all
the money. Such things are
more common when the economy is unstable.
If it happens to you, suck it up and just take care of yourself.
You have the resources within to do it.
Wealth is a state of mind; security only in the soul.
You may have to go back to work, or take a new job, or move, but
out of painful change will come a wonderful you that you never knew
existed!
In
the real estate area, although many want to move, sales are still slow.
It is a good time to remodel as contractors are having a slow
time and will work for less. The
stock market is better but unstable.
Be conservative with your money; save.
High risk high tech options are tempting, but don’t risk more
than you can afford to lose.
The work
in rebuilding
Iraq
goes on, but the
US
(or its spin machine) tries to pretend the whole mess doesn’t exist.
The
U.S.
is also ignoring that many of its rivals are stockpiling money and arms
and resources that later may be used against us.
I don’t mean
Iran
or
Venezuela
; I mean
China
and
Russia
.
DECEMBER
Now
for the last month in this very up and down year:
the best thing is that you feel strong in yourself and your
personal resources. You
realize you have a lot to give to others, and that you are strong in
body, skills, and knowledge. You
are on the verge of a new phase in life and may become anything you
choose. You will have the
opportunity to work closely with unusual and brilliant people:
perhaps in the field of astrology or intuitive healing or
computers or technological inventions.
You have a good business plan.
Analyze, refine it, tweak it, and business will come.
Generally,
long term investments do better than short term investments.
Unconventional relationships do well, and there may be progress
in legalization of unconventional relationships.
There
are good study opportunities, particularly abroad or in metaphysical,
holistic healing areas. Travel
is good, but only if carefully planned.
Budget carefully; remember the dollar is now weak in many
countries. Travel will be
best if done for educational, business or spiritual reasons.
Not a good time particularly to party-travel. Lots of
good family time this Christmas; parties at home and out in the world
are fun. Food/catering businesses do well, as do most entertainers.
There
are some amazing career opportunities opening up, especially in the
areas of entertainment, beautification, water resources, the sex
industry, visual arts, interior décor, and certain aspects of
agriculture. It is a matter
of being very clear with what you want, because you can get it.
It is also a time to take your creative visions and your
creations out of the closet and into the world.
You will have to do some self-promotion, but you have the energy
brains and courage to do it, at long last.
It
looks like something in the real estate business really improves, and
many people are able to buy again—which of course means others can
sell.
Apart
from a lot of good times, this is a challenging relationship month.
Your marriage or partnership is unstable and it would be bad
timing to make demands on the partner, who feels irresponsible and wants
to be free. Counter this
problem by doing your own work, or allowing your partner freedom; be
unconventional. The same
applies if you are a suitor(ess) of an elusive lover.
This is not a good time to demand a decision; they might say no
just because they aren’t ready.
Avoid power struggles with children also.
Insist on respectful language and try to look the other way.
There
are problems with friends, but stresses of the holiday season are such
that it would be best to avoid confrontation for a while.
Stop negative or hurtful words if they are thrown at you;
otherwise wait it out.
Hopes
of conquering a deadly disease are dashed, but research goes on.
It feels like a failure, but it is only a setback.
There is a bad strain of flu this season, but the good side of it
is that it forces the government to cooperate with public health
officials to produce anti-virus and mega-immune boosters (which
Europe
already has!)
Health
care costs are a burden that the private sector is unable to bear, but a
bill to solve the problem fails. Again
the setback is temporary; something has to be done eventually.
Unemployment
is high and job opportunities poor, but this is countered by increased
opportunities for self-employment and entrepreneurship.
(Note 1:
As this is a general reading, I can’t cover everything, but
I’d like to add this will be an interesting year for agriculture.
It will follow the fortunes of both the “food” industry and
“real estate,’ so its cycle will be quite complicated.
All commodities will experience feast and famine.
I would say this is the year of the squirrel.
Keep a positive mind set and when things go well, save.
Then you’ll have something for the months things don’t go so
well.
(Note 2:
Because I asked a constructive question for the year I received
what I hope is constructive information, but be advised that there is a
lot of intense energy and negative things could happen.
Being focused on your own course will enable you to avoid the
brunt of these events. However, I would say this year to be aware of
theft. Inspect all bills
carefully every month. Be careful while traveling. If you can avoid
court, do. Be prudent and
alert while walking or running; and don’t escalate arguments.
Under any circumstances, do not drink and drive!

Oddly, the “significator” of the reading was the Chariot and
the tone card, the Lovers. Both
are cards associated with the chart of the
United States
, which I take to mean events that happen to the country at large are
going to impact all of our personal lives in a big way this year.
It isn’t clear to me what the issue is, but most likely about
the election process, civil rights, more and more privatization of our
national resources, or more government interference into our lives.)
